Naomi Szanto grew up in the southwest suburbs of Philadelphia and graduated with a degree in Psychology from Temple University. She moved to Massachusetts to pursue her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine at Boston University. She has worked in a variety of settings including residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care. Naomi believes in creating a safe space where patients can express their vulnerabilities in a judgment-free zone with hopes that clients can walk away from each visit having more insight and a new goal to work towards. Naomi utilizes eclectic therapeutic approaches, incorporating evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, MI, and person-centered modalities, creating an individualized plan for the client’s unique needs.
Outside of her professional role, she enjoys time with friends and family, explores new restaurants in the city, loves being active, and is an ice cream connoisseur.
