Hopes for Littles

For Parents:

Being a parent can feel overwhelming sometimes. It can feel challenging to know how to best support your child with growing information and resources at your disposal. You may wonder how to ensure your child grows up feeling safe and secure amid increasingly tumultuous times.

Lexington Pediatrics is hosting a two-hour, parent workshop to empower you in having the tools you need to embrace your child, recognize their strengths, and foster their resiliency throughout their lifespan.

Intended for parents of children ages 2-years-old to 4-years-old, this workshop will be taking place over the course of three different dates and times in order to give as many options as possible to accommodate your schedule. All workshops will take place via telehealth. You can choose to sign up for this workshop on any of the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, June 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 24th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 25th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

About Kerriann Ostlund

Kerriann is an impassioned social worker with nearly fifteen years of experience working with people across the lifespan. Kerriann’s clinical work has included working in medical and psychiatric hospitals, hospice and palliative care settings, and outpatient clinics. While Kerriann has worked with a diverse range of populations, she has always gravitated back towards working with children and families.

Kerriann has had the unique experience of working with families in their homes, in outpatient settings, and in a role as a parent coach while working at an outpatient trauma center. Through her experience and training, Kerriann has become a strong proponent of Attachment Theory, and adopting The Whole Brain Child approach* in her work with parents. She takes on a humanistic perspective in her work, and encourages parents to view their child through a strengths-based lens. Kerri strives to provide a unique approach to every family she works with by truly looking into who your child is, and your relationship with them as their parent.

Blending genuinity and humor, Kerri’s enthusiasm and passion for further developing parent-child relationships comes through her engagement in her consultations and workshops.
