Summer 2025 Newsletter

THINGS TO KNOW!

Camp Forms - Please drop off your camp forms as soon as possible as it takes us 1-2 weeks to get these back to you (they have to be reviewed by nurses and then your provider). Many camps will accept a copy of your health form so we encourage you to use this whenever possible!

Pre-Visit Forms - Please complete any forms you can on MyChart prior to your visit. You can also update your demographic information here. This helps speed up your check-in and rooming process.

Summer Fridays - Once again we will have visits starting at 7 a.m. on Fridays in July and August. Please contact our office to book one of these times if you need an appointment!

Transitioning to Adult Care - We see patients until age 23, and after that it is most appropriate to find care with an adult PCP. It can sometimes take almost a year to get an appointment with an adult PCP, so if you are age 22 we encourage you to start looking now!

Missed Appointments - Just a quick reminder that as of January 1, a $50 fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice. For missed appointments at the Wellness Center, the fee will remain $100.

MyChart Reminders -

  1. You can find the Health Form under "Letters".
  2. If you are having trouble logging in, please make sure you are under the "PPOC” Organization.
  3. You can go to the home page on our website and find the link for the MyChart login.

Medical Updates

Ticks: Unfortunately with warmer weather we see the return of the ticks. In Massachusetts we have deer ticks and dog ticks. Both can carry different illnesses but the primary concern is Lyme Disease which is carried by the deer tick. What are the best ways to prevent this?

Website Guidance: We are working on adding information to our new “Patient Education” tab on our website. Currently there is information about well visits for kids under 2. Check it out!

Sleep Visits: Christine Grabenstatter, PNP, and Amy Lazaro, PNP recently underwent training to become certified sleep specialists. If your child is struggling with sleep issues, give us a call to book an appointment!

Lex Peds Gives Back!

We have recently started volunteer days and had one group volunteer at Rosie’s Place in the winter and another group volunteer at Gaining Ground in Concord, MA earlier this month.
