Andrew F. Sinder, MD
Dr. Sinder graduated from Cornell University in 1988 and received his medical degree from Albany Medical College where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1995 and pursued primary care in the community setting. Dr. Andrew F. Sinder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sinder brings to Lexington a broad range of experience. In addition to comprehensive care given in the office, he has significant experience in management of hospitalized patients, critically ill newborns, and pediatric emergencies. As a Pediatric Clinical Director the Latterman Health Center in the Pittsburgh area, he was involved in pediatric program development and training of residents, and he was voted ‘Best Pediatrician’. As a Medical Director with the University of Florida, Dr. Sinder taught residents and medical students, and he worked closely with the community and schools in providing educational seminars.
Dr. Sinder believes in providing care that is founded upon current medical standards, knowledge from his experience, and individual patient history. He asserts that good communication and a close relationship with families is essential to address their needs and expectations.
Dr. Sinder moved to Lexington in 2009 with his wife, Jacquie, his 9 year-old twins, and his preschool-age son. During his free time he and his family enjoy participating in the many activities offered in the area, and he is enthusiastic about contributing to the local community.
