What's Happening
Electronic Medical Records – Coming to Lexington Pediatrics!
Lexington Pediatrics is going digital and we need your help! Our practice is transitioning to an electronic medical record (EMR) system in the next few weeks. We need your help in obtaining important basic health information about your child (or children) to ensure a smooth transition when you next visit our office. This link (EMR Patient Sheet) provides a short form for existing patients to complete online and submit to us -- which we will use to populate your new electronic record. Please complete a separate form for each child. Again, thank you for your attention to this.
This conversion to an EMR is an exciting time for our providers and staff. Electronic records are becoming the norm in all types of private practices. In the longer term, use of such EMR systems leads to more efficient operations and savings, higher quality care delivery, and fewer errors. In the shorter term, this transition can bring frustrations for providers, staff and families as we all become more accustomed to conducting visits with laptop computers in the exam rooms. Please bear with us as we navigate our trip across the digital divide. Rest assured that the high quality, personalized care you have always received at Lexington Pediatrics will not diminish during this transition. Thank you.
Lexington Pediatrics is pleased to be the "medical home" for your children. From time to time, parents may find that they need additional resources to help learn about chronic conditions, new problems, or seasonal illnesses.
Fortunately, a wide array of resources are available here at our practice and throughout the community.
We have provided links to information about programming that takes place here at Lexington Pediatrics as well as to announcements from selected local groups and health fairs.
From asthma support groups and eating disorder clinics, to evening yoga classes for teenagers here at our office, the links provided on this page can help you make a choice of what may be suitable for you.

Lexington Pediatrics Book Exchange for Children
Because we realize the importance of books and reading in the healthy development of children, we invite you to participate in the Book Exchange for Children which we have introduced at Lexington Pediatrics.
While in the office, please visit our Book Exchange for Children which is just off the waiting room on the first floor. If you see books which you would like to read or would like to read to your children, please feel free to take these books home. There is no need to check out or sign out books. When you have 'outgrown' the books or finished reading them and they are still in good condition, we would like you to return these books so other children may also enjoy them.
To support the Book Exchange, we are asking you and other members of our community to donate used books which are in good condition and which you think would be appropriate for this program. We would appreciate if you would bring these books to our office. These books will be placed in the bookcase and become part of our Book Exchange for Children.
We hope you like this program and welcome your suggestions.
