Victoria J. Arthur, MD - Medical Director

Victoria Arthur is delighted to be the Medical Director for Lexington Pediatrics starting in 2012. As the current Medical Director, Dr. Arthur will work to improve our high clinical standards of care and provide a medical home that is accessible for our patients and families. She is happy to speak to anyone who has comments or concerns.

Victoria Arthur joined Lexington Pediatrics in 2002 after completing her residency at Children's Hospital, Boston. She believes in working closely with families to ensure the best possible care for their children.

She graduated from University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she was a senior scholar in pediatrics and recipient of an NIH research grant to investigate neonatal pulmonary disease at Children's Hospital, Boston.

Dr. Arthur continues to teach residents at Children's Hospital, while attending on patients admitted to the general pediatric service. She is currently a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, and serves as a mentor to second year medical students during their primary care pediatric clerkship.

She received her undergraduate degree from Connecticut College with a B.A in Psychology and Religious Studies. She spent her junior year living in India where she studied religious healing practices and subsequently became interested in the field of medicine. Her undergraduate honors include graduating Magna Cum Laude, and membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi.

Dr. Arthur loves spending her time outside of the office with her twin girls and young son. She enjoys sharing some common sense advice to other young parents, especially parents of twins.

Dr. Arthur is a Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society.
SPOTLIGHT

In 2010, Dr. Arthur ran the Boston Marathon to raise awareness for the Children's Room in Arlington, a center for grieving children, teens, and families who have lost a parent or child. She believes in supporting the children in our community, particularly those who have experienced loss and hardship.
